Work sucks.

Posted by Phreq

Well yesterday the president of my company shut down operations due to funds.  After such, him and I had a long discussion over the phone about the operations of the company, and how certain aspects can be resolved.  The result was he wanted me to bid on the remaining unfinished work.

Today I had his proposal prepared, delivered it to him over the phone and waited on him to call back and give me a decision.  Call didn't come in the first hour, nor has it still, at the moment of writing this.

I'm sick and fed up with all of his shady shit, and crooked dealings.  I guess it's a good thing I put in my application to go back to work at Dunn Construction laying asphalt.

Crooks, liars, and thieves

Posted by Phreq

It seems everywhere I turn there is a crook, liar, or some person of the sort.  Where has all the honesty gone?  Does it really have to be all this bad?  Where does all this greed, vanity, and sense of ascending life's ladder by attrition, come from?  Is there really such a need for all this bullshit?

Personally, I just want to work hard, finish an honest day's work, and be proud of what I've accomplished.  I don't want to cheat others out of anything, or lie to get my way or make anything seem better.

This all pretty much stems back to why I don't have friends, and why I'm absolutely comfortable and happy with that.  Having no friends, leaves fewer exposed arteries for lies and deceit to cripple my family, and myself.

I need a new job.  I wish I could just find some honest work, where someone appreciates what I can provide to the company that feeds my family.  An honest employer, who understands a strong, and open relationship with the ones who keep the wheels turning.

I hate crooks, my job, the ghetto, and alot, I guess.

A great bday

Posted by Phreq

Today was a really good birthday.  Started out at the tail end of the work day when my wife, Jessie, showed up at the shop with 2 big plates of cupcakes for everyone.  I convinced her it was ok to stay, so I got to hang out with her while I finished up my day, and she got to hang out with the guys I work with.  The work day/week big finale was Jessie's cupcake treats to enjoy when the world's biggest slacker was let go today (as in fired).  Everyone had been in a good mood all day, looking forward to the termination, and the tasty treats just made it all the better!

After work, we returned Jessie's grandfather's truck, which she borrowed to drive to the shop.  We then borrowed his other car, returned home so I could take a quick shower, before going to Jim 'N Nick's for dinner.  Which was awesome!

Next was Rue21 to buy Jess a kickass pair of boots.  Following that, was Best Buy, where I bought our new Logitech G35 headset.  After a couple hours of scrim practice with the =SsC= guys, I love our new headset!  It's awesome.

Well, now it's getting late and we need to get to bed.  Long day tomorrow.  Family dinner, and meeting up with my company president to acquire our new car (hopefully).
